Sanitation and wastewater treatment works in Fogars de Tordera are underway

  • Water

The project improves the sanitation system in the Fogars, Regent Park, and Parc dels Prínceps areas, applying environmental efficiency criteria while ensuring service continuity.

We implement construction techniques adapted to the environment, such as microtunneling and the use of high-strength pipes, as well as automation systems to control the network’s operation. From a management perspective, a collaborative planning methodology and digital construction monitoring are applied to ensure efficient, safe, and traceable execution.

The works include the installation of new collectors, pumping stations, and a biological treatment plant, guaranteeing service continuity throughout the execution of the works. The area’s complex topography and the presence of existing infrastructure required meticulous planning and constant coordination with municipal services and local residents.

The project has been carried out with a strong environmental commitment, prioritizing soil reuse, selective waste management, and the incorporation of high-energy-efficiency equipment, contributing to the improvement of the water quality of the Tordera River and its natural surroundings.

The works are being executed on behalf of the Catalan Water Agency (ACA) and supervised by AQUATEC. The project is developed within a joint venture (UTE) formed by Sacyr and Constructora del Cardoner, combining expertise in civil works and hydraulic infrastructure.

With an expected duration of 16 months, the project highlights Cardoner’s capacity to carry out complex sanitation projects with rigorous technical standards and a clear focus on public service.
