Experience Hub1 Caixabank
Ó Building is a distinctive office building located in the former Can Batlló industrial complex in Barcelona, at the boundary between the city and L’Hospitalet. It houses a functional, technology-driven workplace for “la Caixa”.
Our intervention consisted of the interior fit-out of the 11 upper floors and the ground floor of the building, following the completion of its construction, to accommodate CaixaBank’s new work hub. Each floor was organised into shared workspaces, meeting rooms, phone booths, offices, reception areas and break-out spaces.

Achieving excellence for a demanding client
All works were executed to a high standard in architecture, building services and safety, strictly complying with the client’s corporate requirements.
-
Integrated digital project management
Through the use of the BIM model – mandatory for certification and As-Built delivery – and the CaixaBank Exchange platform as key tools for coordination, monitoring, validation and project handover.
The transformation of Ó Building into a new corporate hub
- The adaptation of the open-plan floors across the 11 storeys enabled the integration of workspaces, meeting rooms, phone booths, offices, operational areas, reception spaces and break-out areas, all delivered to high functional, technological and organisational standards.
The use of digital technology throughout the construction process
- Digital coordination and logistics through the CaixaBank Exchange platform, both for procurement and project tracking.
- Maintenance and continuous updating of the BIM model throughout the works.
To ensure an orderly and precise execution
- Monthly certification linked to As-Built validation.
- Construction planning with partial handovers by floor, maintaining corporate activity and respecting the schedule set by the client, with a two-week stagger per floor.
- Simultaneous execution on multiple levels, ensuring coordination between architecture, building services and CaixaBank’s internal logistics.
