Marroc 180
The Marroc 180 project represents a new step forward in social housing within Barcelona’s 22@ district. It is a modular building comprising 45 homes, notable for its efficiency in construction, sustainability, high execution quality and integration into a consolidated urban environment.
The 9-storey building was constructed using three-dimensional modular units which, once manufactured, were transported to the site and rapidly assembled. Completed in just 10 months, the construction process significantly reduced waste generation and, consequently, its carbon footprint.

User wellbeing and comfort
Homes of different typologies were designed to respond to new ways of living, ensuring cross-ventilation and strong energy performance.
-
Client satisfaction
The project meets the objectives of the IMHAB, delivering high-quality social housing with efficient construction and environmental responsibility.
-
Project management
The industrialisation of the structural and façade systems made it possible to optimise timelines and ensure quality, supported by rigorous planning and coordination based on LEAN Construction methodology.
A sustainable project
- Industrialised construction
- Walkable inverted roof
- High-efficiency insulation systems
- Aerothermal systems and photovoltaic installation
Efficient construction
- The building was executed entirely with three-dimensional Wallex prefabricated modules, manufactured with structural elements, enclosures and part of the building services already integrated. Once transported to the site, they were assembled like components, achieving highly efficient execution with minimal impact on the urban environment.
Coordination of a large expert team
- The team included Constructora del Cardoner and Constructora d’Aro, working jointly with technical teams, structural engineers, building‑services specialists and prefabrication specialists, always coordinated with the architectural team. The short construction period – under one year – required extremely high levels of planning, coordination and execution control.
