Llull 122
Located in the heart of the Barcelona's 22@ district in Poblenou, the new Llull 122 building is an office building positioned at the corner of Carrer Badajoz, from which it is set back a few metres to create a new public square for the neighbourhood.
The construction was executed using a reinforced concrete structural system adapted to the geometry of the plot. Its highly distinctive stepped façade combines exposed brickwork, aluminium joinery and fair-faced concrete walls, complemented by cantilevered metal planters. The building offers efficient thermodynamic performance, reducing energy demand thanks to solar protection, automated shutter ventilation and the thermal inertia of concrete.

Construction of a distinctive façade
Field Text: The stepped façade features a complex material composition: exposed brickwork combined with aluminium joinery, fair-faced concrete walls and cantilevered metal planters on the balconies. The final construction stands out in its surroundings and enhances the connection with the newly created public square.

Work with BIM tools
Project coordination was carried out using BIM tools to efficiently integrate structure, architecture and building services.
-
Optimal thermodynamic performance
The building minimises energy consumption through solar protection, upper automated ventilation and the thermal inertia of concrete. This set of strategies ensures passive, highly efficient performance.
High-quality office spaces
- High-quality finishes and technical execution in the structure, façades, building services and interior spaces.
A commitment to sustainability
- Building designed with energy‑efficiency criteria and high‑quality insulation.
- Low‑consumption lighting and HVAC systems.
- Waste management and resource reuse during construction.
- LEED energy certification.
Reinforced concrete structure on a complex plot
- Reinforced concrete structural system with retaining walls, waffle slabs and post‑tensioned slabs, all adapted to the plot’s complex geometry. Inclined lambda‑shaped columns.
