Passeig Port Fòrum
The urban development project for the new seafront promenade at Port Fòrum aims to transform and connect the coastal area located between the municipal boundary of Barcelona and Sant Adrià de Besòs. It is an area of great strategic and landscape value, located at the mouth of the Besòs River, combining port uses, leisure spaces and natural areas.
The project has led to a significant increase in green surface area within a highly man-made environment, incorporating high-quality urban development with new green spaces, efficient lighting and integrated urban furniture. A functional seafront promenade has been built, respectful of its surroundings and distinguished by its high landscape and social value. At the same time, coastal connectivity between Barcelona and Sant Adrià has been improved, creating a route that enhances public space and interaction with the coastline.

Urban and coastal connectivity
Continuity and permeability between the municipalities of Barcelona and Sant Adrià de Besòs are enhanced, promoting sustainable mobility for pedestrians and cyclists and connecting the promenade with other public spaces and infrastructure along the metropolitan coastline.
-
Enhancing public space
High-quality urban development is created through the design of green spaces, efficient lighting and the incorporation of appropriate urban furniture, generating a safe, pleasant environment for shared public use.
A promenade located in a strategic enclave
- Due to its visibility and strategic importance as a transitional public space, the works required a high degree of topographic and execution precision. Additionally, the project successfully adapted to pre-existing conditions and existing utility networks, ensuring coexistence with ongoing activities and the continuity of public space that connects municipalities and brings the seafront closer to citizens.
The transformation of an urban area with complex management
- In addition to technical and planning complexity, the project required close coordination with multiple stakeholders managing the area (Sant Adrià City Council, Port Fòrum, service companies, private entities and port authority). We worked with all of them to make this shared project a reality.
